Ducati Panigale – it’s been fun

After close to a month with the very impressive Ducati Panigale urban street bicycle (Ducati Panigale review) it was time to say goodbye. We come across a lot of products here at PressPortal so it’s not normal to get so attached, but geez we’re really going to miss this one.

Ducati Panigale Ducati Panigale

Sitting outside the start of Melbourne’s famous cycling route, Café Racer – Beach Road St.Kilda, whilst the rider’s inside getting a coffee fix

Its mixture of good looks, laid back angles and the excellent 8-speed Shimano Alfine transmission meant it was always a pleasure to ride. The 8-speed Alfine transmission is an internal hub gear changing mechanism, keping the gears clean from dirt and grime and virtually maintenance free. It didn't miss a beat.

Ahhh, classic Ducati red with white racing stripe on the top tube

Before boxing up the Ducati and sending it back to the importers the Panigale was given a good clean as it had endured a typical mix of varied Melbourne weather during its time at PressPortal.

Luckily for us we’re about to get our hands on another fast Italian bicycle to spend some time with. It’ll be less street cruiser, more lycra speed machine. We’ll let you know more in only a couple more days.
