UK Magazine Car is the latest of the lucky few publications to have driven the Gumpert Apollo supercar. Mark Walton from Car commented that the car looks like an old Group C supercar which is kinder than when Richard Hammond from Top Gear said there wasn’t a camera angle which can make this car look good.
However, when you’re driving a car that weighs less than 1200kg and produces 515kW (690hp) the styling of the car should be the least of one’s worries. After reviewing the Apollo S, Car Magazine have given it 4 out of 5 stars, saying it is monstrously fast and efficient; however at nearly 275,000 pounds its looks and the noise it makes are second to the Pagani Zonda.
Below is a table of how the Gumpert Apollo S lines up against some of its past and current competitors. Remember the Apollo S currently holds the Top Gear lap record.
