A leaked memo from Ferrari chief Luca di Montezemolo to the brands Chinese importer has surfaced on the internet outlining key details of the successor to the Enzo. We're not sure of the credibility of the document but going by the figures being mentioned we certainly hope it is true.
Key details include the car sporting a new carbon fibre chassis and bodywork, a mid-mounted turbo charged V8 engine with 592kW, a kerb weight of only 1300kg and a 7-speed gearbox that can shift gear in a remarkable 50 milliseconds. These impressive figures result in a 0 – 100km/h sprint in only 2.7 seconds before going on to max out at 390km/h.
These figures are astounding considering that the Enzo, which raised the supercar bar when it was launched late in 2002, produced 485kW from a 6.0L V12.
Ferrari has dismissed the document as being a fake however Luca di Montezemolo also denied earlier this year that Ferrari was releasing the California. The upcoming supercar comes after a long line of Ferrari greats, such as the 288 GTO, F40, F50 and Enzo.
