omniauto.it have shown new renderings of the Alfa Romeo 149.
Alfa Romeo’s current 149, replacement to the existing 147 that has been in production since the start of the decade, has been spotted in recent months by spy photographers whilst undergoing development testing.
The new car, which is rumored to loose the 3 number name and instead will receive a single letter name, is due to be launched in Europe in 2009.
The image above is a CGI impression of the new car and is close to what the production car will look like. Whilst the A and B-pillar is spot on with the spy images, the C-pillar in this image is more aggressive than what we expect of the production car.
Also of note are the headlights which pay homage to the brands recent 8C Competizione sports car.
