gtr-world.net has shown new renderings of the possible GT-R R35 Sedan that will most likely carry the Infinity badge if it were to go into production.
Whilst their has been much rumour regarding the possibility of the brilliant engine from the R35 GT-R ending up in an Infiniti sedan sometime in the next few years, we couldn’t help but think the rendering above reminded us of a recent concept.
Below is an image of BMW’s 2007 CS concept. Notice the similarities…
As it stands a GT-R engined Infiniti is yet to be confirmed from the manufacturer. The current Infiniti M-Series (large sedan) has been on sale since 2004 with the 4.5L V8 producing a healthy 335bhp. With the all-new 3rd generation going on sale next year, could it be offered with the storming 473bhp 3.8L V6 from the Nissan GT-R?
The 2009 M-Series is to be based on Nissan’s rear-drive FM platform that also forms the basis of the GT-R, with several modifications.
Nissan wants to position Infiniti as a global sporting luxury brand and is launching the brand in the UK shortly.
Could the German BMW M5, Mercedes Benz E-Class E63 AMG and Audi RS6 soon have another competitor on their hands?
