Proton Jumbuck Receives A Value Boost

July 11th, 2007

Proton has made Australia's best value half tonne ute, the Jumbuck, even better value with bonus accessories worth more than $1,200 included at no extra cost.

The Proton Jumbuck priced from $16,990 drive away now features a free tub liner and a tow bar worth over $1,200.

The value add on the Jumbuck half-tonner enhances the package and gives buyers an improved work platform which is both economical to run and inexpensive to purchase.

Jumbuck has proved itself across Australia in a range of applications from versatile day to day runabout to farm ute or tradesman's transport.

Proton Cars Australia managing director John Startari says the Jumbuck value add package offers buyers even more reason to buy.

"Feedback from customers has led us to include the tray liner and tow bar as standard equipment as they indicated these were the most practical and useable extras we could add to the Jumbuck," said John Startari.

"Proton is a value for money car company which is always looking to deliver a better package and this is an example of that policy," he said.

"Jumbuck continues to be a popular low cost and economical alternative to full size cylinder utes and this new value add package just makes that proposition even stronger," he added.

The Proton Jumbuck combines the comfort of a small passenger car with the practicality of a utility. Its 1.5 litre 4-cylinder OHC engine is both economical and lively.

The Jumbuck GLi also comes equipped with factory fitted air-conditioning, power steering, AM/FM CD audio system, central locking, remote keyless entry and alarm with panic button as standard at a recommended retail price of $16,990 drive away.

The higher spec Jumbuck GLSi is equipped with cloth trim, 14" alloy wheels, electric remote mirrors and power windows along with a four-speaker AM/FM/CD audio system at a price of $18,990 drive away.

The Jumbuck comes with Proton's Quality Care package, which includes a 3-year/100,000-kilometre warranty along with 24-hour roadside assistance for the first three years of ownership.
