Between 17th and 23rd August the Hyundai iLoad helped handle the logistics at the 2008 Oxbow Australian Longboarding Titles held at Port Macquarie's surrounding beaches.
The Longboard Titles were held in conjunction with the Country Energy Australian Surf Festival, the titles attracted the best longboard riders from across the nation converging upon Port Macquarie.
The Hyundai iLoad, already a winner of the ';Best Medium Van 2008' by Delivery Magazine, was also star attraction of the titles, drawing many impressed on-lookers with its stylish European van design and vast stowage capacity.
"The attention and positive comments came thick and fast," Bruce Channon, editor of Australian Longboarding Magazine said. "It was compared to the European equivalents, but with a more competitive price-tag."
The iLoad aided the event organisers with crucial logistics in transporting surfboards and key event collateral.
"With standard ABS, dual airbags and Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) and the option of ESP Stability Control on CRDi turbo Diesel versions, we are finding our iLoads are being used in a wide variety of applications." Hyundai's Director of Sales and Marketing Kevin McCann said. "The iLoad range has captured 10% market share in only its first 6 months on sale."
The iLoad range is available in either a 3 seat or 6 seat crew van configurations with the choice of 2.4 petrol or 2.5 CRDi turbo Diesel engines; all back by Hyundai's 5 year / 160,000km warranty and a 12 month Roadside Assist.
