As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility program, Nissan Australia has partnered with three leading Australian universities to provide financial support to the next generation of industrial designers.
Nissan has partnered with Victoria’s Monash University, The University of New South Wales and The University of Queensland.
The merit-based scholarships will provide financial assistance to students studying industrial design and the arts.
Nissan Australia CEO, Dan Thompson believes the scholarships are a strong investment for the future.
“Design is one of Nissan’s key pillars, an integral part of our heritage and an area of expertise for which we are world-renowned. And as a strategic driver of our business, it’s an important part of how we differentiate ourselves from our competitors,” Mr Thompson said.
“By partnering with universities, we are not only investing in the future of our business, but helping to secure the future of tomorrow’s designers.
“We are delighted to support three of Australia’s top universities and their design students and we wish the lucky scholarship recipients all the best for their studies in design.”
The university scholarships are among Nissan Australia’s growing portfolio of CSR activities which also include involvement with Neighbourhood Watch and the donation of the use of a Micra to The Butterfly Foundation.
