Chrysler Australia is proud to be associated with The Alfred hospital at such an important event as the upcoming Golden Hour Ball.
The 2008 Golden Hour Ball – presented by Chrysler, will be held on July 25, at Peninsula at Central Pier, Docklands.
Chrysler Australia is honoured to provide a brand new Jeep Cherokee Limited. The vehicle will go up for auction on this special night with all proceeds going towards trauma care at The Alfred.
"We cannot overstate The Alfred's importance to the Melbourne community. We all rest a little bit easier knowing that we have the best trauma centre in Australia right here”, said Gerry Jenkins, Managing Director, Chrysler Australia.
The Alfred Chief Executive, Ms Jennifer Williams is delighted Chrysler Australia is supporting Life Support as presenting sponsor of the Golden Hour Ball .
"We are indebted to the level of support kindly provided by Chrysler Australia. One lucky guest will drive away from the Golden Hour Ball knowing they have made a significant contribution towards trauma care for all Australians,” said Jennifer.
The Alfred Foundation launched Life Support in 2003– a group of supporters dedicated to raising not only the much-needed funds to support trauma services at The Alfred hospital, but also awareness of trauma and its impact.
Life Support’s major fundraiser event is the Golden Hour Ball – a term used to describe the sixty minutes following a trauma when the body works to compensate for whatever has happened to it. That “golden hour” is a crucial window of opportunity for lifesaving measures to be undertaken.
The Golden Hour Ball reminds us that that major trauma can strike at any time, be it through sudden illness, an accident, a natural disaster or in the case of Bali survivor and Life Support patron Jason McCartney, a terrorist attack.

Jeep Cherokee offers a genuine exception to the rule that genuine off-road vehicles are not comfortable to drive on-road. It is not only a matter of environment, but of genetics. What makes Cherokee a Jeep® vehicle is manifest in its agile, surefooted stance and classic seven-slot grille. More than that, Jeep Cherokee brings its off-road heritage to benefit your day-to-day on-road driving experience.
