Proton Announces Special Test Drive Jersey Giveaway At Telstra Stadium's Battle Of The Big Cats

July 2nd, 2007

Proton Cars has announced a special free jersey promotion in conjunction with leading NRL side, the Proton Wests Tigers to be run at Telstra Stadium on Friday July 6 prior to the Premiership clash with the Penrith Panthers.

The promotion will see the first 150 people who take a test drive at Telstra between 5.00pm and 7.15pm on match day receive a Wests Tigers 2006 alternate jersey valued at $100 each for free.

As well as the free jersey give away there will be other prizes available while members of the Wests Tigers squad will be available for signings at the special Proton test drive facility opposite Gate L on the Western side of Telstra Stadium (located outside stadium off Edwin Flack Ave).

According to Proton Cars Australia managing director John Startari the free jersey promotion will help cement relations between the many thousands of Wests Tigers fans and its naming rights sponsor for the past two seasons.

"We are always looking for ways of connecting with the legion of Wests Tigers fans and this was a perfect way to reward them for their loyal support of the team and our company," said John Startari.

"This promotion will allow both Wests Tigers and Panthers fans to sample the latest range of Protons including the versatile and economical Savvy, the practical GEN.2 five door hatch and the sporty Satria Neo as well as the tough Jumbuck half tonne ute," he added.

"With the test drives starting at 5pm and finishing at 7.15pm, 15 minutes prior to kick off, the fans will still be able to get to their seats in time for kick off and not miss any of the on field action in what should be a terrific battle," he added.

"Proton has two of its key dealers in the Sydney area situated in the heartland of both teams, at Campbelltown and Penrith so there is strong incentive for fans of both teams to take a test drive in the latest Protons."

The special Proton Wests Tigers jersey test drive promotion will be strictly limited with 150 jerseys available in a variety of sizes from childrens to adult however the selection will be limited and there will be no rain checks, so it will be a case of first in best dressed at Telstra stadium.

The test drives must take place on the day at Telstra stadium on the special test route around the Homebush Bay precinct for the participant to receive a jersey.
