Ice hockey is a dynamic, creative sport, requiring intelligence, technical superiority, performance and team spirit. Similar attributes are shared with the development and manufacture of modern automobiles.

Škoda has supported the world championship as the main sponsor and exclusive “official vehicle” for fourteen years now; the sponsorship contract was recently extended until 2011.

As a result the Škoda brand presented itself to 701 million television viewers watching the Ice Hockey world championship in more than 50 countries.
