Suzuki is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2009 by showering its customers with a brace of limited edition models packed with free features.
Selected SX4, Jimny Sierra and Grand Vitara models will go on sale in March with between $1000 and $2000 worth of accessories added at no extra cost.
All SX4 and Grand Vitara 100th Anniversary models will come complete with fog lamps, anniversary badging and an integrated Bluetooth mobile phone kit.
Bluetooth technology offers numerous advantages via wireless hands-free phone systems and eliminates the need for physical phone connections and conventional hand piece cradles.
The Suzuki kit allows multiple Bluetooth-enabled phones to automatically connect to the system, even if the phone is hidden in a pocket, jacket or briefcase, providing a truly hands-free system.
Integrated into the existing Suzuki audio system, it allows the driver to answer calls comfortable and conveniently by automatically muting the audio system and providing control via a selection of user friendly interfaces, including voice command.
It comes complete with a small, single button answer switch integrated with a powerful microphone, while volume levels can be controlled via the Suzuki’s steering wheel-mounted audio controls.
Calls can be answered, initiated, disconnected, redialed and placed on hold with a simple press of one button. The unit is also capable of voice commands if this is supported by the mobile phone.
The SX4 hatch comes complete with a Bluetooth kit, fog lamps and unique 100th Anniversary badging, adding $1000 of value but no price premium for the customer.
A similar kit is also available on the SX4 AWD hatch, with Bluetooth, fog lamps, 100th Anniversary badges and a bonnet protector. Again, the $1000 extra value in the accessories comes at no extra cost.
The Grand Vitara 2.4-litre 5-door limited edition model features a Bluetooth kit, fog lamps, 100th Anniversary badges and a genuine Suzuki nudge bar. Total value of the pack is $2000, but will go on sale for a limited time at no extra charge.
Rounding out the limited edition line-up is the Jimny Sierra 100th Anniversary model, complete with side steps, roof racks and badges. The extra $1000 value found in the added accessories is available at no cost to the customer.
Suzuki Australia General Manager Tony Devers said the 100th Anniversary models were a direct reflection of the Suzuki promise to provide exceptional value for money.
“Our limited edition kits always prove popular with customers and we have no doubt these 100th Anniversary editions will continue that trend.
“They represent exceptional buying, adding features that reflect popular customer choices in genuine Suzuki accessories for their vehicles,” Devers said.
