UK Car magazine Autocar is reporting Volvo has confirmed that it will release a new all-wheel drive performance variant of the C30, to be positioned above the T5 model, producing an impressive 224kW (300bhp).
To be built in limited numbers, the new model will feature the 2.5L turbo-charged five cylinder petrol engine that will be available in the Ford Focus RS which goes on sale in Europe in the first quarter of 2009.
The current top of the range C30 T5, with the 2.5L five cylinder engine produces 169kW (227bhp) and is also turbo charged. Autocar claim that next years 224kW all-wheel drive variant will also look the part with huge 20-inch wheels, race seats and a unique body kit.
