have just released details and images of the upcoming Nissan GT-R Spec V.
According to their reports, the limited production run of the Spec V will continue to be a 2-seater and look almost identical with the exception of a few minor aesthetic variations.
The Spec V will be powered by the same 3.8L twin-turbo V6, however, tuned to produce 520bhp @ 6500rpm and 440lb.-ft of torque @ 3200-5200rpm. A 200lb. weight reduction makes the Spec V more agile, bringing the total weigh in to 3615lb. The performance boost is said to make the Spec V lap the Nürburgring in under 7min 30sec.
The Spec V is expected to arrive in the U.S. early 2009 with a price tag of around USD$130,000. Will the extra cash be worth the performance boost and beat the Corvette ZR1's 7min 26sec time around the ring?
