Citroen Wins 'What Car?' Magazine's People Mover of the Year - Again!

January 19th, 2008

The Citroën C4 Picasso has been named ‘WHAT CAR?’ People Mover of the Year for the second year running, at the magazine’s prestigious 2008 awards in the UK.

The Grand C4 Picasso 1.6 HDi SX bowled over the team at ‘WHAT CAR?’, the UK’s leading monthly magazine, with its class-leading levels of practicality and comfort, generous dimensions, great all-round visibility and host of innovative ideas.

The C4 Picasso has been successful across Europe, selling more than 200,000 in its first full year with almost 20,000 in the UK alone, while in Australia it is selling 50 per cent more than original sales projections and was a key model in giving Citroën its 12th successive year of sales growth in Australia

“Citroën clearly did its homework when designing the C4 Picasso – it fits the bill perfectly for modern families,” says Steve Fowler, Group
Editor at ‘WHAT CAR?’ “It’s innovative, easy to use, great to be in and good value – it’ll keep every member of the family happy.”

The versatile seven-seat C4 Picasso has raised the benchmark in the competitive compact people mover sector, thanks to its original styling, roomy cabin layout and host of storage solutions – perfect for families on the move.  Its multitude of easily adaptable seating configurations allow up to seven people to enjoy the ride and take in the scenery via the super-wide panoramic windscreen and with five Euro NCAP stars, the Grand C4 Picasso is also one of the safest cars in its class.
