Triumph releases the 2010 America (Australia)

January 19th, 2010

With its wide bars, forward set pegs and relaxed riding position, the Triumph America mixes classic British engineering with style straight from the American highways, delivering an authentic cruising experience in a package that's pure Triumph.

Sharing the same 270º parallel twin engine as the Speedmaster the America's loping exhaust note and smooth power delivery is big on easy-going drive and full of character. The riding position is relaxed for both rider and pillion and offers a supremely comfortable ride, thanks to the large seat with a low 28 inch height, forward set pegs and raked handlebars. Both new and experienced riders will appreciate the sure-footed ability of the chassis and the confidence-inspiring handling while twin-piston calipers and front and rear disc brakes take care of stopping duties.

Finishing the look is a slab-style top yoke and plenty of chrome - chromed shock absorbers, chromed instrument console, chromed single headlamp, chromed engine covers and twin reverse cone, chromed silencers – with shrouded forks and machined cast wheels adding substance.

The America is available in two colour options: classic Phantom Black or two-tone Pacific Blue with a New England White infill.
